About the Challenge
Preparations are underway for the 8th Annual Scott County Fast-Track Business Challenge, providing an exclusive platform for startups and early-stage businesses. Organized by the Scott County CDA – Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE), this competition is geared toward enhancing local entrepreneurship, fostering job creation, and catalyzing economic growth in Scott County.
History of Success
- Cash and In-Kind Services: A total of $118,000 has been awarded to participants.
- Participants: 33 entrepreneurs have taken part in the challenge.
- Outside Funding Accessed: Participants have accessed an impressive $1,700,000 in external funding.
- Active Businesses: Currently, there are 22 active businesses that emerged from the challenge.
- CEO Next Participants: 4 entrepreneurs have progressed to the CEO Next program.
- Companies Sold: 2 companies born out of the challenge have been successfully sold.
- Jobs Created (Direct): A total of 165 jobs have been directly created by these businesses.
- MN CUP Semi-Finalist: 5 participants have reached the semi-finals of the MN Cup competition.
