Shakopee Hosts Hockey Day Minnesota 2025
Get ready for a thrilling celebration of Minnesota’s hockey heritage as Shakopee hosts Hockey Day Minnesota 2025 from January 22-25. This year’s event takes place at Valleyfair! The amusement park will transform into a winter hockey wonderland, with select rides in the Route 76 area open if weather permits.
The event will feature a variety of games, including matchups between local high school teams, and an NCAA women’s hockey game. There will also be a Minnesota Wild vs. Calgary Flames game at the Xcel Energy Center during Hockey Day.
Hockey Day Minnesota 2025 is more than just hockey—it’s a celebration of Shakopee’s vibrant community. Organized by local leaders Stacey Langemo and Josh Flom, Co-Chairs, in collaboration with the Minnesota Wild and FanDuel Sports Network, the event will showcase Shakopee’s unique identity while benefiting the Shakopee Youth Hockey Association, high school hockey programs, and other local initiatives.
